Question

My preview resolutions are all the same

Hey, I am doing an edit and basically I wanted my preview to load faster so I decided to change the resolution to "quarter". The problem is, it still looks like as if it was on full. I tried resetting the program and even using a different version but nothing seems to work! Any preview resolution I try looks HD and it's frustrating me because my project is taking forever to load, thank you in advance.

Hi Jesu27792968qvfo,

Thanks for writing in.

In addition to what Mylenium said, you're viewing the composition at 50%. I'd suggest switching to 100%.

Let us know the result. Also, as mentioned by the expert, we'd need more details on your footage and system specifications to troubleshoot the issue properly.

We're here to help.

Thanks,

Nishu

This option is the quality of the clip for preview.  I guess the resolution remains as it is. ROI (Region of Interest) is a good option.

Unless there's actual processing going on, reducing the preview resolution does barely do anything in terms of performance. The rest we can't really know. You have not provided any info about the system, the project contents and settings like cache, hardware acceleration etc.. If it wasn't in the title bar, we wouldn't even know you're using AE 2020. So by all means, provide some more info and actual uncropped screenshots.
