Hi everyone,

I'm trying to identify the name of this visual effect/style. It has a retro pixelated, old video game / low-resolution look.

Does this effect have a specific name? Also, how would you recreate it? Is it mainly done in software like After Effects, or does it require specific plugins, shaders, or AI tools?

I'm referring to the pixelated retro effect used throughout this video.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot for your reply! I’ll definitely experiment with all of this and see what works best

Here’s how you can achieve the halftone look:

It is not exactly what you’re looking for, but close.

Thanks,

It kinda looks like a variation on the Halftone look or newspaper photo look.
