Need help in doing this technique

I like the look of this animating in, but can't figure it out to look as smooth. Each letter seems to be fading/typed on and then slides to the left. Surely this can't be opacity and by letter? Any ideas appreciated.

I'm not clear what you are asking. Text animators can easily be set to "Word" or even "Line" for effects such as this one. Realyl not much more to see and given how fast it moves I don't think anyone would spend more than those two seconds of switching the settings on it, given that nobody would be able to even see any more fanciful stuff.
