Need help with a specific logo animation technique

The reveal of the logo can be accomplished with a single stroke as a track matte to reveal the straight line and a second animated matte as a radial wipe to hide part of the straight line and reveal the semi-circle. All you have to do is load up the clip in a timeline and look at the frames and think about dividing the action into pieces. You just don't do everything on a single layer.

The text animation can be done on a single layer with a single text animator for scale and position. That's pretty straight forward and there is even an animation preset that is pretty close right in the text section of the Effects and Presets panel. 

The whole comp would take 1 layer for the logo, one for the text, two or three as animated mattes and a few keyframes. 

Nothing too fancy, actually. The only real trick here is that they use the initial angled stroke also as a matte, which makes it look like the arch is growing out of it while the line animates. Easily achieved by pre-composing the strokes and using duplicates of them as track mattes. The rest is just clever keyframe timing for the relevant properties. I suggest you read the online help on these things and then give it a try.
