Need to save AE XML files in 15.x

I'm working with a vendor who can only use AE projects saved in v15.x. I was able to downgrade my AE 2021 to export the file as a v15, however, I need a matching XML file which is being rejected as a v17 version. Any clue? I tried editing the XML in TextEdit replacing CS6 with CS5 but no luck.
