New Bar Graph Element

In classic form, Adobe adds terrific new features to After Effects with no documentation, no tutorials, nothing intuitive in the feature, but leaving its long-time devoted users frustrated and head shaking. I want to make some Bar Graphs and line graphs, but right now it's faster for me to build everything from scratch. PLEASE post up a quick tutorial or something to get us started.
