New to After Effects, error with "Learn the Basics" tutorial

Question

I'd like to learn After Effects and would like to follow the "Learn the Basics" tutorial offered in the application before going further on YouTube, etc. However, I've run into a roadblock.

When I get to the "animated logo" section it's broken down into 5 stages.

When I click the first stage to "start here" the app gives me a pop-up that says "Save Changes to "Untitled Project" before closing?" And offers the standard Don't Save, Cancel and Save buttons.

All three, no matter what I click, skip past this tutorial logo stage and moves me to (what I believe is) the next stage, "Creating a Composition from Footage."

The conundrum, I need to complete the logo stage for the footage stage. What gives? Am I missing something simple?

No idea what those weird tutorials are about, but to be honest, you probably can find a ton of better stuff on the Internet, including the old basics tutorials on Video CoPilot. Other than that I would strongly advise to actually read the online help. Many things are explained there just as well and at this point it seems you haven't even a basic grasp of how AE actually works (no offense). Just reading the first few chapters might be more helpful than trying to follow a random tutorial.
