Question

No audio after effects cs6

Hi,

I use an HP Probook and After Effects CS6. I tried to put some audio into the program and previewed it, but it doesn't play anything. The playhead moves just fine and AE even acknowledges there's sound there (waveform). It just won't play anything. Sound is enabled in the timeline and my own speakers aren't broken.

I don't know my specs and I don't know how to find them, so if you want me to give you specs, just ask, but you have to tell me how to find them.

Thanks.

I don't remember if you have this option in CS6 but try activating "Play audio in preview" in the preview panel.

Try transcoding to WAV from Audition or some other application.

In Preferences / Audio Hardware, set the Default Output and turn up the volume.

That looks like AE CC layout. Is it still relevant for CS6?

I don't remember it well but try it, find Audio Hardware and set the Default Output.
