No Audio During Playback

I'm working between Premiere and After Effects. I created a timeline of clips in Premiere. Audio works in premiere. I then go to "Replace with After Effects Composition" in Premiere which opens up in After Effects. No audio in After Effects. I'm on a Mac. Any suggestions?

First try to follow the previews suggestion, also be sure the audio preview icon is active.

Hi efiorello,

Ideally, this should not happen. If the .prproj file has been imported correctly inside After Effects, it should playback fine. However, there could be other reasons for making it happen like the audio preference adjustment. I would like to know a few things before we start troubleshooting:

  • Which version of After Effects and Premiere Pro are you using?
  • Did you try checking the audio for any video file inside After Effects?
  • Did you check the audio hardware settings inside After Effects? You may refer to this link: Configure preference settings in Premiere Pro

We have to make sure that the correct audio hardware is selected for getting the audio output.

Let us know the outcome. We're here to help.

Thanks,

Shivangi
