No MME option when choosing default device in audio hardware preferences.

Question

I have no sound in preview. I have checked everything in the forums, but I feel it is because MME is not selected in audio hardware preferences. MME is not even an option. How do I add MME as an option? Please help!

That's not going to be of use to anyone if you don't provide exact system info and details about your audio device(s). There is no way to force-add such stuff. Either it's configured correctly and AE can auto-detect it or it doesn't. There's no shades of grey inbetween. So either your device is not configured suzitably or generally just not compatible. It would also be interesting if it actuzally works in Premiere or Audition to have a point of reference...
