no option to empty disk cache?

I've deleted a ton of files that seem to be where my disk cache is because on the program itself, it won't let me click on the empty disk cache button, does anyone know how to fix this?? I have a huge project due tonight and everything is lagging and I can't deal with it, please help!

      I used to have 2015 now I have 2018, when I went to go delete the files, the only ones that I could find were for my previous version and not for my current one.

      Look in your preferences and settings and check what directory you have set for your cache.  That's where they are.
