OCIO/ACES color management

Hi guys. I'm trying to wrap my head around color management with OCIO and ACES.

I watched a tutorial about photorealism where he talked about filmic color profile in blender It started a 3 hour research session into color mangement. I learned that sRGB is limited in its range and OCIO (includes ACES color profile)  is much wider and therefore much better at producing physically realistic renders.
