Question

Ok but seriously, dynamic link error in camera solve - what did I do to offend Adobe to earn this?

It's random & unpredictable. It seems to happen regardless of how new a project is, what the clip is, etc.

It makes the program unusable. Any word on a fix, despite the fact it's been years and years and years?

As the expert suggested, please share more details so that we can troubleshoot the issue properly.

  1. What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version) and version of After Effects you're using?
  2. What exactly happens? Could you share a screen recording that shows the problem?
  3. Does it happen with all the media files or a particular one?

We're here to help.

Note: Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.

Thanks,

Nishu

I'm having no problems. How is your system's health and compatibility with AE? What is your memory allocation to other programs? It should be 4, 6, or 8 GB. Don't use odd numbers. How long has it been since you reset your preferences? What kind of footage are you trying to use? Are you using Dynamic Link with Premiere Pro, Audition, or just the Adobe Media Encoder?

There have been random problems, but not many, with my setup over the last several years. I've never had a problem I could not solve by cleaning something, resetting preferences, or rolling back a build.
