Older Versions and Cusomer support

I am unable to open an After Effects project I made in 2018 and have been informed by Adobe customer support the oldest version I can access is 2021. I have been working with adobe software for sometime  I find this very disatisfactory . I have paid for the product and am now unable to use it!  It should not be  beyond an adobe developers ability to not make their products obsolete. If this is the case, this is poor customer service, I would not recommend!
