Original Clip Info in Linked Comp

Question

Hi,

New to PP and AE so this is probably remedial, but I cant find the answer online.

Finishing a feature film with temp VFX created in AE. I need to create a pull list of the original clips used for our VFX artist. Is there a simple way to find clip names of the elements used in the linked comps?

Moreover, is there a way to preserve the original clip names when creating the comps so I can quickly access the original clips from my timeline?

Drag & Drop the clips onto the "New comp" icon at the bottom of the project window - magic! Otherwise you may want to educate yourself about functions like "Collect Files" or the triviality of being able to right-click on stuff in the project window and use a "Reveal in Finder/ Explorer".
