Original text layer showing in rendering after changes are done to a duplicate.

Ok, here's the issue.

I'm working on an after effects project and i have this text layer that i want many of with different texts. So let's suppose the original text layer's content was "content of the original". I duplicated the layer and changed the content to "content of 2nd layer". and so on. Many times. In the preview all was fine, but in the render, a brief exposure of original layer content would show before the content of the 2nd would.

What is the structure of your composition? Any nested comps in the project with text layers? The most likely cause of this kind of a problem is that the text layer that ends up in the final render is in a pre-comp that was not edited. The fastest way to find a layer is to solo it and see what happens. If the comp is a complex combination of nested comps it is a really good idea to refer to the flow chart.
