Hello everyone.  First of all, i'm a beginner in After Effects,so i really hope someone can help me. I'm

having some trouble with the paint brush tool. My idea is to make an animation project.  I started with watching a tutorial, i firstly had to mask and the paint out some parts of the character. The problem is that the layers where i painted on for some reason last for a few frames. Let me explain better: The first seconds the layers are as if i never applicated any paint on them, and at some point  the paint comes back. In short,it applicates just for some frames. I don't know if i was clear enough, but i hope that someone managed to understand the problem,if anyone can help, it would be lifesaving. Thanks for reading.

Hi Elena, check your paint stroke keyframes in the timeline—they might be set for only a few frames. Adjust the duration or set the brush’s Duration to Constant. This should fix it!

Hey, snappy11, thank you very much for your assistance!  With your response, I now see that the issue was quite easy to resolve and was likely a minor one. However, I truly appreciate you taking the time to address my concern. Thank you again for your support!

Hi @Elena...000,

So glad you posted your question. You're always welcome to ask anything here. While we await an expert response, can you give us some more information. Some screenshots of your comp panel and timeline would be useful, as would a project file. If you could upload the file somewhere like Dropbox or Google Drive, we can inspect it and see what went wrong. I hope we can help you after receiving just a bit more info. I hope we can help you and I'm sorry for any frustration you've experienced thus far. Take care!

Thanks,
Kevin
