Panasonic V-Log RAW footage in After Effects

Hello everyone,

I am shooting footage on my Lumix S5 recorded with my Atomos Ninja V. The footage is recorded in ProRes Raw. Now, if I drag my footage in Premiere Pro, the footage is always set to BT.709 color space and I can manually change it to Panasonic V-Log. This lets me use an input LUT on my footage and from there I can start grading it. However, when I edit this footage in After Effects, I can't seem to change the color space to Panasonic V-Log, so my footage is set to BT.709 I suppose and the colors just look weird. How can I change the color space to Panasonic V-Log just like I am in my Premiere Pro workflow?

I would suggest you actually read the online help on things like footage interpretation or for that matter how color management in AE works. AE will always convert the color space to RGB. It simply has no native Log space or alternative color models. You therefore have to assign color profiles correctly in the source to have the conversion handled properly.

Thank you for your reply, I actually found what I was looking for. When you right click your ProRes Raw file in the project window you can choose interpret footage. From there you can click main > more options and select the corresponding color space for your raw footage, in my case V-Log.
