Hey Rosell!

Welcome to the community.

Sorry to hear that you lost your keyboard shortcuts after updating the app.

First of all, it shouldn't have happened. Second, there is a way to recover them. Just let us know your OS so that we can direct you on how to get them back.

Thanks,

Rameez

1) Synching your AE Settings to Adobe CC

After personalizing your Keyboard shortcuts, you will want to upload it to your Adobe Creative Clour account. This will allow you to access your shortcuts from another computer/location. You do this by syncing your account - on a PC, you access the Sync Settings from the menu item, File>Sync Settings>Sync Settings Now. After selecting this option, you can either Upload or Download your AE Settings.

What you include in your Sync Settings is selected in AE's Prefs.

2) When you create or update a Personalized Keyboard Shortcuts in the Keyboard Shortcuts Visualizer, a keyboard settings files is saved locally, on your harddrive. To get to the folder containing this harddrive, open up AE's Prefs Dialog and select the General tab. At the bottom left area, click on the button, "Reveal Preferences in Explorer/Finder". This will open up your OS' File/Folder dialog window. Look for a folder named "aeks" – your personalized keyboard shortcuts and the default shortcuts file will be in the aeks folder.

To look for a personalized shortcuts saved in a different/older version of AE, go back up the folder hierarchy to look for the appropriately named AE version – the location of the "aeks" folder within the main AE folder will be identical. You can copy and  paste  a keyboard shortcuts file to another "aeks" folder. You will of course have to use the Keyboard Shortcuts Visualizer to load and activate the personalized keyboard shortcuts.
