Performance issue with AE on Macbook Pro mid2015

Hi,

I'm having a big performance issue with AE on my MacBook Pro. I had it installed on the same Mac 9 months ago with no problem at all. I just bought it to use for one month. Has a new version of AE been released in the mean time with performance issues? Since it was working perfectly before, there must be something wrong with this version, or some settings I have missed. Or is the new MacOS somehow not geared to run AE?  Just clicking a button takes 1-3 seconds for it to respond. Dragging an element across the screen also takes 1-3 seconds to respond.  Yes, I've tried to restart and kill all other applications. In AE, under Preferences -> Memory, I have allocated max RAM Available for AE set to 13 GB.

MacBook Pro Specs:

Retina, 15-Inch, Mid 2015

Processor: 2,5 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Memorry 16 Gb 1600 Mhz DDR3

Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GB, Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB.

Does anyone know a MAC professional who can fix this? Happy to pay.
