PF_OutFlag_FORCE_RERENDER doesn't work on Premiere CS3.

PF_OutFlag_FORCE_RERENDER doesn't trigger a rerender for me in Premiere CS3 (3.2.0 374). For example, if I set it in PF_Cmd_USER_CHANGED_PARAM, nothing happens. Is there another way to force a render?
