Pinning nulls to path points created in Illustrator

I'm having an issues with the pinning nulls to path points when using Illustrator files.

After importing the Illustrator layers, I use the "create shapes from vector layers" command.  Once I've created the vector layer, I use the "Create Nulls from Path" feature.  At this point, it creates the nulls and attaches them to the points.  However, the nulls are offset in such a way as to be unusable.  Does anyone else have this issue?  Any solutions?  Would be wonderful to use this nulls feature with files created in illustrator.

The Golden Rule when using Nulls Follow Paths is to set all Content-related props related to Position, Anchor Point and Scale values to their default - [0,0] for Position and Anchor Point and [100,100] for Scale. Take note that this requirement includes the Transform Props for Group Transforms.

After you have set these values accordingly, only then should you apply Nulls follow Paths.

Are you even able to apply "create nulls from paths" to imported illustrator paths?

I just did it. Wahoo! For some reason I kept getting the error message.

      You're most welcome. I should add that I left out Rotation - this should be set to 0; it's default value.
