Placing a vertical video inside static image

Hello,

i'm a beginner in AE and i've been having the following problem.

Since 3 days, i've been trying to put a video(mp4) inside a static image (png).

The video is vertical and the mock up is a picture of a phone, the image itself is horizontal, but the screen is vertical as well.

I cut out the screen of the phone in photoshop, saved it as png.

How do i place the video inside the screen? I watched all tuts i found online, but nothing covers my case exactly. Are the formats wrong?

Please help!

Thanks so much in advance!

Not sure what specifically you would need to know. A basic track matte workflow should work - duplicate the phone layer, place the video beneath it, assign the phone atop it as a track matte while the other duplicate serves as the screen's basis.

Thanks a lot! It worked, but now my problem is that the quality of the video is very low. Looks blury. The screen from the picture is actually smaller than the video size. The video is 1920x1080p and the screen is 2050x950p. Any suggestions?
