playback not working on ae

 i am trying to make those edits you see on youtube, (inspired by nessuki, tobioify, cereal, etc.) it says on my screen 'display acceleration disabled'. whenever i press play on the preview box, nothing plays. i have unmuted my audio and im not sure what im supposed to do at this point. maybe it does have something to do with the display acceleration being disabled? i dont know how to turn it back on, if anyone could help me with that, it would be great. nothing is wrong with my headphones or anything, by the way. it was just working yesterday, now i  dont know what happened to it. i am prepared to take a screenshot if i need to do so. please help, its important. ive been trying to figure this out for about 4-5 hours now yet nothing seems to work.
