Playhead issue in After Effects when using Dynamic Link

There’s a playhead issue in After Effects when using Dynamic Link. In Premiere Pro, the video plays without any problems, but as soon as I return to After Effects and press the spacebar to preview the video, it plays for literally one second and then freezes. The playhead doesn’t move, and the video panel itself becomes laggy. This is visible in the screen recording when I changed the zoom level.

Restarting After Effects and clearing the cache helps, but this bug happens very, very often, and every time I have to reopen the program.

My PC specs:

Windows 11

Ryzen 9 9950X3D

64 GB RAM

RTX 5070 Ti

I’m using the latest versions of the software: After Effects 25.6 and Premiere Pro 26.6.3

I’ve allocated 300 GB of SSD space for cache and 58 GB of RAM. CUDA acceleration is enabled in Project Settings, and I’m using the latest NVIDIA Studio drivers (591.44).

Please help me fix this!

The problem occurs when returning from Premiere Pro to After Effects — the playhead stops moving and the preview lags. The only solution is to restart the program, but this happens very often.
