Question

Please! Bring back After Effects Ray-trace

Hello,

I was hoping, and maybe praying, for an update in the last versions which would include the 3d Raytracer engine again. I have many projects and templates, created by myself for using with some clients, that I can't use anymore.

I used After Effects 2019 for this projects but now I can't. I have updated my GPU with a Nvidia 3060ti and it's not supported in this version/engine. So I'm feeling that After Effects it's in clear decline. I can't create some things that I could do years ago and it's a pain. I don't want to use third party plugins that are a lot slow than Raytracer in After Effects was.

Finally, I know that could be very difficult, but. Is there any possibility for Raytracing 3D to come back? Maybe Nvidia Optix?

Thanks a lot!

Raytrace 3D is dead, but apparently AE will get more 3D features based on a new infrastructure.

Yes. I don't care about the name of the engine if we have the possibility of GPU 3D raytracing in future versions of After Effects. And, if it's some way compatible with the old Raytracer engine projects, like C4D engine is, much better.

Thanks!
