PLEASE HELP! After Effect 2018 won't import from Premiere correctly

PLEASE HELP!

I've been dealing with this problem for a while now, and it's keeping me from using AE.

For example:

When I conform a clip form 60fps to 24fps (for slow motion), then replace the clip with after effects comp, AE imports the clips as a black screen, OR interprets it as normal motion (24fps) not slow motion.. In the older versions before the update, this process would work completely fine. Once I updated the program (which I'm always nervous about doing because of problems like this one), this problem starts to occur. Hindering me from using AE fluidly. I know this can't be the correct way to use this feature. Please some one help on how to fix this problem..

There's nothing to fix. These are bugs. You have to wait for the next update and in the meantime downgrade to CC 2017.
