plugin won't show when i render my video

i bought the signal plug in, i manually installed following the instructions in the zip file, once in after effects i registered the key they gave me when i bought it, i used it in my project but when i render it, it renders my video without the effect. am i missing something? am i doing something wrong? on the preview window it shows a thumbnail crossed with a pink x 

its my first bought plugin so idk what else to do and i don't want to feel like i wasted money 😕😕
