PNG import error

Question

By default, while importing, the drop-down is set to "All Acceptable files" and not "all file types".
I'm trying to import multiple pngs, but with "All Acceptable files" set to default, I have to select "All file types" again and again.
Im working on AE 22.4. On windows. And I think I might have toggled some switches or it might be a preference issue.

Plz help!

File dialog options are stored in Windows itself, so if it doesn't stick, you may have an issue with user privileges and the Registry. Likewise, file dialogs are just a special type of Explorer window, so toggling options there for hidden files or certain file types affects the default view of those dialogs. You may need to check those options outside AE and see if it makes a difference.
