Position tool & Cursor Key Bug

AE 25.5, MacOS Sequoia 15.7.1, m1 MBP Max, 64gb RAM
After Effects Timeline/Keyboard issue (see attached video):

When the cursor keys (left and right) are pressed, the playback head moves frame by frame along the timeline (like in Premiere) instead of incrementally moving the object.

Not shown in the video, but pressing the up and down cursor keys will toggle between selecting an upper or lower layer in the stack instead of incremenatlly moving the selected object up or down.

Uninstalling/resinstalling, restarting, launching in safe mode, etc have not resolved the issue. It's basically as if After Effects thinks the Command key is pressed every time I'm pressing the cursor key.

I've tried the following:

-Purged all ram and cache repeatedly

-I've updated the program and OS to the latest versions.
-Both checked and unchecked "Use System Shortcut Keys" in Settings and restarted

-Uninstalled AE 25 then reinstalled.

-Deleted preferences (this worked once but the probelm came back withing minutes and deleting Prefs/reinstalling hasn't worked since).

This happens when using either the Macbook keyboard or a USB Apple keyboard. It started about a month ago. I've switched back to AE 24, which does not have this issue, until I can get this resolved.

Update: Appreciate the feedback. I launched the Keyboard Viewer as advised and confirmed the command key was not inadvertently engaging.  So I imported my keyboard settings from AE 24 into 25 and it's working fine. I also quit and relaunched AE 25 and the correct keyboard settings are active.

The issue is resovled; thank you for the quick responses and helpful suggestions!

@Skandalous

It looks like you're unexpectedly getting Command + Right Arrow (Go Forward 1 Frame) and Command + Left Arrow (Go Back 1 Frame).

Something may be causing the Command key to get sticky.  In other words, it's registering as being pressed when you're only pressing Right Arrow or Left Arrow.

I'd bring up the macOS Keyboard Viewer to see if Command happens to highlight when this happens.  I'd also double-check Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts in After Effects for what shows for "Go Froward 1 Frame" and "Go Back 1 Frame" and even remove ⌘+Right, and ⌘+Left until you figure out what's causing this.
