precom blurry

Question

Hii, I started using after effects a few days ago and when I upload a photo on full resolution from far away it looks fine but when I zoom in (the canvas) it looks blurry, at first it was fine but when I resize it and precompose it, it becomes very pixilated, I tried turning on the "for comp layer" star icon that I've read works but it doesn't work on my edit. When I render it, it looks blurry and pixilated, what do I do?

You fundamentally misunderstand how pixel based images work. There is no infinite resolution and any kind of upscaling will inevitably deteriorate quality because new pixels need to be "invented" to fill in what's not there. Only higher resolution images/ working in higher res comps/ working at 100% zoom will avoid the issue.
