precomp duplicate

Question

Can you tell me how to use one comp in different places with changes? I have seen many projects that create animation by using one comp and changing it according to them. In the panel, only one comp is used. How is this possible????

Have your precomp open, then go to Composition > Open in Essential Graphics.

A pop-up panel appears and you can now drag in from the timeline most of the properties. When you then add the precomp to your main composition, you can expand it on the timeline to view the Essential Properties which you can alter and only that precomp will update. Adding a second copy of the precomp will keep the original settings until you alter them too.
