Precomp unwantedly opens when selecting an effect

Hello Hello,

 

A few days ago I did the AE24 update.

Since then, after working in AE for 15min. or so, a bug appears.

When I select a layer, and than select the effect on the layer - the composition jumps into a precomp thats in the initial composition.

Is there a solution for this issue?

I have to restart everytime this happens, but after 15min. it starts having the bug again.

    Hi, did you find a solution for this? I have the same exact problem.

    You need to deselect all layers in the inactive compositions.

    AE glitches out of composition when I click on effect in effects panel

      Hi Krista,

       

      We can get it checked.

      What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version) and the exact version of After Effects you're using? Can you relaunch After Effects, disable all the third-party plug-ins and see if the issue still happens? Here's how you can disable the plug-ins - Go to Effects > Manage Effects > uncheck all the plug-ins listed.
