Preview error of imported video

Hello there! I am currently working on a video project. More specifically, it is an instrucional video where I animate photoshop layers. The animation with the layers is fine. But when it comes to the part of the prior recorded screen video importeded into AfterEffects and preview it I can see display errors. I already changed the preview settings from "adaptive resolution" to "off (final quality)". But the preview errors are still there. By preview errors I mean for instance the mouse movements doubling or pixelated views every now and again. Viewing the video outside AfterEffects, the described display errors aren't there. Does anyone have a tipp for me how I could solve the problem? Thanks in advance!

You need to convert the video using an external tool like Handbrake. Screen recording tools use all kinds of dirty tricks like adaptive framerates and datarates, none of which goes down well with AE. To avoid such issues in the future, configure the screen recording app to use fixed frame rates and such from the outset.
