Preview Screen is Black in After Effects 24.0.1

Hello 

 

I updated to After Effects 24.0.1 on my iMac the preview screen worked at first but then it went dark. I opened the same project on my MacBook Pro (M1 Max 2021 Sonoma 14.0). It worked fine this morning but now the preview is black aswell and it does not play. Dynamic link works fine and i can see the after effects files in premiere pro.

 

Cleared the Cache and deleted the old After Effects.

 

Any thoughts. I never changed any settings and it just went dark.

    I am still trying to fix this. Two things i found out. After Effects 23.latest Version works fine. No Problem there. Another thing that was strange after the update to OS Sonoma 14. The permission on my ssd card changed to "You have custom access". Maybe that is a problem aswell. Davinci struggels with this too. I am partitioning the ssd to see if it works better after this.

      The file not found is looking for a temporary file. However the issues you're hitting all sound like issues being caused by Sonoma where file permissions seem to be variable in whether they are applied or not. We are continuing to investigate the Sonoma issues but they seem very much related to the OS and user permissions.

        Update: I got it running again by erasing the dynamic link files in the PP file. This is really weird.

          I just opened AE again and I could make a composition with Text and a solid. As soon I tried to save the file i get this Error. The number in the file name is generated by AE. I just wrote Test. I could not save the file in the end. WTF.
