Preview Stops Working After a Few moments

I'm having an issue with preview in After Effects. When I first open a project, the preview works normally for a few moments. But after that, it stops working, whenever I press play or hit the spacebar, it only plays a single frame and then stops.

I've tried clearing the cache and restarting the app, but the issue keeps coming back. Has anyone faced something similar or know a fix?

I have one: INTEL CORE i5 13400, 32 DDR4 RAM AT 3200MHz, NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3060 12GB, WINDOWS 11 PRO 64BITS. The same thing happens to me with the latest version of after effects :C

Thank you for sharing the details. Does it happen in new projects as well, or just in projects created in older versions of After Effects? Are there any third-party plug-ins installed? For testing, can you try disabling Multi-frame Rendering (After Effects Preferences > Memory & Performance) and see if that brings any change?

the system specs CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X , GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 16GB, RAM: 32GB DDR5 @ 6000MHz, OS: Windows 11 Home (64-bit)the most recent version of after effects is what I've been trying to use as its a recently purchased PC. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sblBQ3-kJwu1mDfpVtzc8jTmKAiWzxE0/view?usp=sharing

Hi there,

 

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. Could you share your system specs (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version) and the version of After Effects you're using? Also, a screen recording of the issue would help me understand it better. To rule out the possibility of corrupted preferences, try running After Effects in Safe Mode.
