i keep installing it even from the vlack magic web page and nothing happens and this window keeps opening

i use .braw footage straight up without any issues on my AE and i don't think i've installed any specific plugin or codec for that. try download and install Davinci resolve, Blackmagic RAW Player on your mac and see if that helps.

The .braw media is not supported natively by After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Media Encoder. You'll need to install a free plug-in that you can download by clicking the link in the dialogue box.
