PTI issues

I'm running 16gb ram and am having signifgant issues with my PTI disapearing on me and the program failing in the minutes following the incident. Is this a common issue with a simple fix or do I need to seriously consider re-vamping my system? Any help would be much appreciated.

You have not provided any system info or other relevant technical data, so we can't even guess what the problem might be. You have to be much more specific. The usual standard steps apply: Check settings for hardware acceleration and caches, update graphics drivers, turn off multiframe rendering, trash botched prefs. Anything beyond that will require more info.
