Puppet mouth

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knew any tools that would do lip sync in a particular way for me. I want a puppet effect so the mouth just opens and shuts like an old wooden puppet, roughly in time with the speech.I've tried a few AI tools but they try to be too realistic and the video needs to be longer than they can do. The image attached gives an idea of how I want the mouth cut out and moving up and down in one chunk.

Experience level with After effects is basic so any youtube video turorial suggestion would be welcome.
