Ram preview then using Cinema 4D renderer

Hello,

My RAM preview is loading so slowly, It's impossible to preview anything in real time. I'm working on a fairly simple 3D scene with two extruded shapes, and 5 different lights (I assume this may be part of a problem). What could be the reason for this?

- In the cinema 4d renderer options I chose a draft speed;

- I lowered preview resolution to a quarter;

- My pc has 16GB of RAM.

Some images I use are quite big and I have scaled up a solid in the background so that the shapes could cast shadows on it. Still It seems to me that the scene is too simple to load this slowly.

Thank you

Correct answer Dave_LaRonde

If you're using ray tracing, don't.  And you're right -- 5 lights will indeed slow things down!

Thank you. I use cinema 4d renderer. I'll try to get rid of some of the lights.
