RAM Previewing is becoming the bane of my life
I recently invested in an iMac Pro 10-Core with 64GB of Ram, thinking that I would see a massive improvement on performance in After Effects, this hasn't been the case.
In Cinema 4D the improvement is more than visible to see with renders utilising the speed and core's of this machine, however AE runs at about the same pace as it did on my MBP, with a marginal improvement on GPU effects. Does anyone know the reasoning for this? I have read a lot about AE's inability to utilise the multiple cores, is this the case? Should I be looking to move the majority of my work flow to C4D and improve my skills in there?
I presumed that this new machine would help me regain a lost social life and give me the chance to enjoy more sleep, hopefully Adobe will look to rectify any of these issues soon.
