How to distinguish deference between Ram up & Ramp Down here? In the real word if you start from lower point it is ramp up & if you start from higher point it is ramp down.

    Correct answer ShiveringCactus

The advanced animator shape controls affects how text is changed on a per character / per word basis (depending on Based on).  Square does each character in turn.  Ramp Down starts affecting the second character before the first has completed and the third and so on.  Ramp Up is a little odd, as it sort of goes backwards.

Imagine if you had a word made up from scrabble tiles and you had a wooden block to push them along a table.  Square is like pushing the block straight.  Ramp Down is pushing with the block at a 45 degree angle.  Ramp Up is the opposite angle.  Triangle pushes from the middle, Round… also from the middle but the pusher is a plate.  Smooth… yeah, I’ve run out of analogies.

Today I received an email asked me to select a “Best answer”. Unless I can understand the answer I am unable to select best answer. I may understand the answer in the future then I will select it.

I take it my explanation didn’t help.  I’d hoped the scrabble tiles analogy made sense, but if not, do you have a follow up question?

Follow up question is possible if you could partially understand the answer. Otherwise there is only two alternatives: I have to partially understand the subject and revisit the answer again or you have to give an alternative explanation to the question.
