Recovering MOGRTs

Hello! I recently lost an AE file I used to create several MOGRTs. I never exported said MOGRTs as such files, simply exported them into the creative cloud library. I now need to make some changes to said MOGRTS, but I can't find a way to download them from the creative cloud and open them back up in After Effects. I tried going through Premiere, revealing the comp in finder and opening the AE file it provides, but After Effects can't read that file ("bad format or not readable").

Any help at all would be very appreciated.

Thanks!

It is likely corrupted and not recoverable.

A long shot: Try renaming it.

So after reading your comment I went and tried with a previous version on a different machine. Instead of opening the AE file, it let me extract the contents (somehow, since it wasn't a compressed file). Then it automatically attempted to open the new file in the older version but now I got a different error message that said I needed to open it with a newer version of AE. So I tried with a newer version and that worked. Very confusing since I was originally attempting with the correct version, but was getting the ""bad format or not readable" error. Anyway, I got it.

Thanks for the help.

Can you copy and paste the MOGRTs from the Creative Cloud folder to a local folder? Did you save it to a Library or in the Creative Cloud Folder on your system? I am not having any problems opening any MOGRT in After Effects 24 or 24-Beta. Can you import the MOGRT into Premiere Pro?

Are you opening it in the version it was created?

I tried with both the current and previous version of AE (the one it was created in) and neither opened it.
