Red Giant Effects mess up video completely - how to fix?

When I apply a Red Giant (Maxon) distort effect, such as rgb seperation or chromatic abberation, it simply messes up my entire clip. This just started happening, I've used both of those effects before and they worked perfectly fine. I've attached 1 picture of the original clip and one of the clip after I've added the effect (rgb seperation). Thanks in advance 🙂
