Red screen problem? Fixing ring-light reflection in glasses?

Hi guys,

I've been using premiere pro to edit and splice a few videos together, and for one of them there's quite a bit of glare from the ringlight in one of our interviewees glasses. Now, I found a blurring option in after effects that sorted it out, but as soon as I apply any sort of layer a red screen pops up in the footage, and I don't know how to get rid of it!

Any ideas?

We can't know anything. You haven't provided any useful technical info, your description is at best vague and generic and there's no screenshot. Impossible to even make a crude guess what could be at play here, so by all means be more specific and provide some info we can work with.

Here's some screenshots.

Riight after importing the mp4 the footage is fine, but as soon as I start editing, this intermittent red screen pops up, weirdly enough it even tells me the RGB of it. I thought maybe I'd accidentally added a shape, but that's not it either.
