Removing unnecessary key frames from tracked mask paths?

Hi!

I'm looking to remove unecessary keyframes from motion tracked mask paths. I was recommended the Smoother Tool, but that doesn't seem to want to work on Mask Path keyframes? Is there a way to remove keyframes where there is little or no motion?

Short answer: No. Long answer: Someone would have to write a script that does the cleanup. perhaps it even already exists. Check AEScripts.com.

I think someone on AEScripts suggested I try Smoother 🙂 -- will get my coder to write something up, and share if it's useful.
