Render Fail / Can't Add to Media Encoder Queue

Hello community,
I suddenly started having problems when I try to “Add to render queue” Media Encoder window opens automatically but I see nothing in queue. If I manually ‘Add to AME’ from After Effects, it adds to Media Encoder queue but it fails when I click ‘render’.

Im using MacBook Air M1 Big Sur. I tried updating my software, After Effects(18.4.1) and Media Encoder(15.4.1) also tried installing older versions..

Please help this is getting frustrating! 😞

Sorry for your issue.

Could you try resetting the preferences of After Effects and see if it helps: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-after-effects/td-p/10634342

If it doesn't, try disabling your antivirus and firewall.

no good news for you: This stuff is simply busted on M1 Macs and AE 2021. You would need to go back to AE 2019 to get it working reliably, as at least then the Rosetta 2 emulation works correctly.
