Hi

I opened a previous after effects project that I did about two years ago. I edited some of the illustrator files in the project (all text replacements, nothing heavy).

when rendering the project, it crashes saying something about low memory.

I have 128 GB of RAM. besides, i did this before and it was working. it basically takes the enite RAM resource and eventually crashes. I do not understand this issue.

I did try tweeking the settings in preferences, same issue. I can recreate the problem if it helps.

please help.

Again, AE is not intentionally using so much RAM, those are simply memory leaks somewhere. Only much more detailed info could ever come close to deciphering this behavior.

Without any crash info and actual details about the project we can't tell you much. Quite likely this is simply a hardware acceleration issue, though in this case the interesting question realyl is whether it is even to blame on AE. Could just as well be Illustrator causing mayhem. Either way, we definitely need a lot more info.

I still dont understand why after effects is using all that RAM to the extended that its crashing! I mean 128 GB!

I was thinking about add more RAM but whats the limit in after effects?!
Anyways, I will post some screen shots of it and try the generate the error message.

For now I managed to make it by creating three smaller videos then combining them! Its not convinent but at least it worked.
