Hi!

I am looking for a way to render my composition 100+ times with different text in two layers. I was thinking to batch replicate this comp and then batch change text layers, but I have been googling around and did not find any solutions.

I don't need ready solution, just a direction on a approach I should take to complete such task. I was told on another forum to ask here and that there are some scripts that do just what I need using excel file as data. Could you point me to them?

Thank you!

Here's an old Creative Cow thread that discusses a way to do what you want using a text file and Expressions:

There are also some commercial scripting tools that automate the process quite well:

CompsFromSpreadsheet 5 - aescripts + aeplugins - aescripts.com

Templater Rig - aescripts + aeplugins - aescripts.com

Andrew,

Many thanks for pointing to Templater!  Much appreciated.  Note, though, that Templater Pro is the edition that allows users to batch render versioned projects with external data.  Templater Rig allows users to map data to project layers effortlessly, but would still require users to manually render.

Thanks again for the link!
