Render time way too long for a specific project.

Question

I'm trying to render a project that has a dynamic link between After Effects and Premiere Pro, for some reason the Media Encoder Render is only using about 1% of my CPU and taking 4 hours to render an 8 minutes video that should take about 20 minutes to render due to not having almost any visual effects.

Any other projects render just fine, this is the only one that takes this long.

There must be something different in the timeline or with the original source footage. My fist guess is that you have some compressed (mp4) footage in the timeline that is having some problems being decoded.

Check for differences, and if you are using compressed source footage try transcoding the footage to a professional frame based production format like ProRez or DnXHR
